In San Francisco he met the photographer and poet Alejandro Stuart and together with other artists founded Colectivo Peña Sur, which was the first underground Latin American cultural center in San Francisco. Personalities such as the Chilean writer Fernando Alegria, the Mexican playwright Felipe Santander, Mexican actress Ofelia Medina, Cuban Musician Lazaro Ross Mexican song writers Gabino Palomares, and Jose de Molina among others, participated of the this project.
